Eurozine is seeking to hire a Managing Director for its Vienna office.
We are looking to hire an assertive managing director with a focus on fundraising and organizational development and with a passion for cultural publishing and dedication to fair and transparent leadership.
Your role:
- Fundraising: Together with the Editor-in-Chief identify and communicate with prospective public and private funders, including foundations; developing funding applications and reports;
- Managing projects and optimizing processes;
- Human resources management;
- Budgetary supervision and controlling;
- Organisational development;
- Together with the Editor-in-Chief and Board of Trustees: Strategy development for co-operations, business models and public relations;
- Communication and networking with international partners;
- Managing copyright issues;
- Representing the organization together with the Editor-in-Chief.
Requirements:
- Higher education in the humanities, social sciences and/or economics; education in cultural management is an advantage;
- Professional background in cultural or academic management; management experience is an advantage welcome;
- Native-level German proficiency, excellent English; additional language proficiencies are a plus;
- Outstanding communication and cooperation skills: team player, competent leader;
- Demonstrated ability to organize workflow;
- Highly motivated and ready to take initiative;
- Familiarity with Austrian cultural, funding and administrative context is a plus.
